Halloween’s here (yay!) and there’s no better way to celebrate it than watching some scary movies. Here’s our fav Halloween movies to watch….

5 Halloween Movies To Watch

Hocus Pocus, 1993

You will never get more iconic that Hocus Pocus. It’s the be-all and end-all when it comes to Halloween movies. And frankly we are horrified that there are talks of remaking it. We say you can’t improve on perfection. It’s silly and not at all scary once your over the age of 8, but it’s not Halloween without it.

Scream, 1996

The movie that spawned a million Halloween costumes. There’s now 4 movies in the series so it makes perfect spooky sleepover material. The fear of getting a phone call only to hear the words “What’s your favorite scary movie?” is real. Scream manages to make fun of all of the cliché scary movies while keeping us on the edge of our seats in this terrifying murder/mystery.

The Nightmare Before Christmas, 1993

Is this a Halloween movie or a Christmas one? We say both. If anything a viewing of this starts off our Christmas countdown. Every goth girls dream, Tim Burton, really outdid himself with his creation of Jack Skellington and Halloween Town. The soundtrack is definitely worth a blast too. It was honestly hard to narrow it down to only one Tim Burton movie but Beetlejuice, A Corpse Bride, Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissorhands were all strong contenders and bonus entries on our list.

The Addams Family, 1991

It’s hard to watch this without getting the catchy theme tune stuck in your head, especially with the current Aldi ad on rotation. From hilariously dark quotes and the deadpan delivery, you’ll be laughing more than feeling scared. Morticia Addams is Halloween goals!

The Craft, 1996

This is the perfect movie to watch with the girls. It revolves around a group of teenage girls who practice witchcraft and they all soon conjure up various spells and curses against those who even slightly anger them. But things quickly begin to get out of hand. Think Mean Girls meets the Exorcist.
