5 Things To Get You In The Mood For Halloween

Team Missy

Halloween is not near, it’s here! We couldn’t be more excited. School’s out and it’s time to get in the spooky spirit. We’re sure that you already have your Halloween makeup and costumes sorted.

Here are 5 ways to get in the mood for Halloween…

Carve A Pumpkin

We have become very American and obsessed with pumpkin patches. See if you have one locally. If not head to Aldi where they have a huge selection of pumpkins that start from on .99c.

Watch Scary Movies

We already put together a list of the best halloween movies to give you some inspo. A viewing of Hocus Pocus is a non-negotiable must!

Listen To The Nightmare Before Christmas Soundtrack

“This is Halloween, everybody give a scream”

Tim Burton is the King of Halloween. Yes, he has made a tone of gothic inspired movies, but if you ask us The Nightmare Before Christmas is his masterpiece. The soundtrack is truly incredible.

Helmed by the famed Danny Elfman it includes the iconic “This Is Halloween“,which needs to be blasted non-stop today. But “Jack’s Lament” and “Jack’s Obsession” are truly incredible.

Sorry, we’ll stop fan-girling now!

Watch A Scary TV Show

We’ve hyped this a lot, but Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is now on Netflix. The series has some seriously creepy vibes and is perfect Halloween viewing material. Another great Halloween viewing material is The Haunting of Hill House.

Bake Something Spooky

Just because you can’t go trick-or-treating doesn’t mean that you can’t indulge in the candy side of Halloween! Pinterest has been fuelling our ideas. We love the look of these bat bites. Also, these mummy brownies look delish and super easy to make!

If you’re looking for some more ideas, we have loads pinned to our Halloween board.

Tell us, what are you doing to get in the mood for Halloween?
