Beauty Routines

Team Missy

*sigh* the joys of being a girl… there’s just so much to deal with and think about. Not just on a day-to-day life struggle basis, but in terms of keeping ourselves beautiful – that is if it floats your boat. There’s just so much makeup and skincare it’s easy to get lazy about steps in the ol’ beauty routines. Here’s an idea about what you should be doing daily, weekly and monthly.  Just think, Future You is going to be looking mighty fine…

Daily

Cleanse, tone, moisturise should be your daily mantra, morning and night. When it comes to the night you should always be double cleansing especially if you’ve been wearing a makeup. When it comes to cleanser the OSKIA Renaissance Cleansing Gel is a great option for all skin types. Also try out the Pixi Glow Tonic as an everyday toner. It also has the added benefit of glycol acid which will gently exfoliate your skin to leave it glowing, hence the name!

SPF application is also super important regardless of age or weather situation. Get your moisturising and SPF ticked off in one go with First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Pure Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 40. This is probably super obvious to some of you, but take the time to slather some moisturiser on those limbs too. I don’t know about you, but I tend to focus all of my time and funds on my face. Kiehl’s Creme de Corps is a lovely treat but Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Body Lotion does an excellent job too.

Weekly

You should take some time once a week to pamper yourself with an at-home facial. Depending on what type of skin you have The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask is great for oily/ spot prone skin and GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment is excellent for dehydrated skin. Also throw on some cuticle oil to help keep your nails strong. CND Solar Oil Nail and Cuticle Conditioner is the one all the salons swear by. To keep your hair in great condition throw in a hair mask like Dove Advanced Hair Series Quench Absolute Intensive Restoration Mask once a week. Also dig out the dreaded tweezers and deal with any obvious maintenance issues. Again the joys of being a girl…

Monthly
In terms of not-so-regular but still-very-important steps, we would definitely making sure your eyebrows are always on point with a regular threading. Eyebrows really do frame your face and make such a difference especially if you are restricted in wearing make up because of school rules. If you’re eye brows and eyelashes are on the fair side take the time to tint them once a month. You can do this yourself at home using the Eylure Black Dybrow Dye Kit. Also treat yourself to a pedicure either in your local salon or do it yourself at home. There’s just something about having a nice pop of colour on our toes that feel essential to happiness.

Do you fall behind with your beauty routines? What steps would you like to be better at?
