Team Missy

There’s something about autumn that gets us itching for a change. And looking at this collage we are getting some serious inspiration. We chatted to hairdresser Jacinta Byrne who told us that we can expect to see a number of different trends this coming season.

A massive trend is the Lob, or a long bob. It’s a low commitment change. It’s still on the shorter side, but it’s still long enough that you can throw it up or do a number of different styles with it. The great thing about the Lob is if you you’re not too sure about it it will soon grow out. But Jacinta has noticed that once people go for the initial chop they keep going back to get more and more off. Lucy Hale is a great example. She started off with a collar bone grazing cut and has since gone shorter and shorter. In terms of styling Jacinta recommends texturing  sprays such as Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray for achieving a perfectly messy ‘do.

In therms of colour the Balayage trend that was massive a few years ago has moved on and it more subtle with honey hues and golden overtones. It’s still relatively low maintenance and last for months. Jacinta recommends asking for the colour to be blended in nicely with your own so it looks more sun-kissed and natural.

Another massive trend is Rose Gold Hair. It’s not quite pink, just subtle shades of it. If you’re thinking of trying this out we recommend getting it in similar to Balayage that way you can braid it or put it in a bun to avoid trouble in school or work. L’Oréal have recently come out with their own range of pastel colours called Colourist, which are perfect for adding some temporary flare to your hair.
