5 Best Reality Shows To Fill The ‘Love Island’ Void
Love Island is unfortunately one of the many things cancelled due to coronavirus, and if you’re a big fan like me you probably are missing your daily dose of reality shows.
Thankfully Netflix has you covered, and have added some really great reality shows to get you through the summer. Here’s a list of a few of my favourites for when I just need some drama.
Selling Sunset
This is my personal favourite and is the perfect mix of drama and glamour. The show follows the staff of the high-end brokerage The Oppenheim Group that sell expensive houses to affluent buyers in LA. Naturally, there’s lots of drama and competition between the realtors and even a wedding or two along the way. There are 2 seasons of this currently on Netflix, with another on its way in August.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians
As a Kardashian super fan, I was beyond excited when Netflix added seasons 1 and 2 this month. The earlier seasons are by far the funniest and it’s crazy to see a young Kendall and Kylie before their own success. The Kardashians never fail to bring the fun or the drama.
Love Is Blind
This is a great substitute for Love Island. It follows a group of singles who get engaged, without ever seeing the other person! It shows them from the first time they meet until their wedding day and of course, there is a lot of drama and conflict on the way. This 11 episode series is a great watch, perfect to binge on a lazy day.
Next In Fashion
If you’re a fashion fanatic, this is definitely one for you! It follows a group of designers who pair up to try and win $250,000 and the chance to have their designs sold by Net-A-Porter. This Project Runway esque show is super interesting and great if you’re interested in design.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
The real housewives franchise has multiple series based in different locations, but Beverly Hills is my personal favourites. This seriously dramatic show is a great option if you love shows like Keeping Up With The Kardashians. There’s 2 seasons currently on Netflix, as well as other versions of the show such as The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
