Danielle Mahoney

If you’re a fan of reading books before seeing the movie or TV show you better read these books asap as they currently being adapted…

Conversations With Friends

After the success of Normal People in 2020 it was only right that Sally Rooney’s debut novel, Conversation With Friends, also get an adaption.

Conversation With Friends is currently being filmed in Ireland with the same creative team behind Normal People, so we have high hopes. Joe Alwyn, also known as Taylor Swift’s longtime boyfriend and she was even spotted visiting him in Ireland, has been cast as one of the leads in the show.

Conversation With Friends is expected to hit our screens in 2022.

The Viscount Who Loved Me (AKA Bridgerton Season 2)

Season 2 of Bridgerton is officially a go! The second season of the hit Netflix show will be based on book 2 of the series, The Viscount Who Loved Me, and will follow Daphne’s brother, Anthony, as he searches for a wife.

Season 2 of Bridgerton is currently filming. There’s no official word on the release date yet, but internet gossip says it will be early 2022.

The Nightingale

The Nightingale is very popular on #BookTok, so of course it’s being made into a movie starring IRL sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning.

The Nightingale is a historical fiction novel. The book tells the story of two sisters in France during World War II and their struggle to survive and resist the German occupation of France. It was inspired by the story of a Belgian woman, Andrée de Jongh, who helped downed Allied pilots to escape Nazi territory.

The Nightingale is scheduled to be released on December 23, 2022

Where The Crawdads Sing

After the huge success of Normal People Daisy Edgar-Jones is set who helm another hugely popular book-to-screen-adaption in a starring role in Where The Crawdads Sing.

The story follows two timelines that slowly intertwine. The first timeline describes the life and adventures of a young girl named Kya as she grows up isolated in the marsh of North Carolina from 1952 to 1969. The second timeline follows a murder investigation of Chase Andrews, a local celebrity of Barkley Cove, a fictional coastal town of North Carolina.

The movie is also produced by Reese Witherspoon, so there’s a lot to look forward to with this project.

Where The Crawdads Sing is expected to be released June 24, 2022

Daisy Jones & The Six

A TV series that I’m really looking forward to is the adaption of Daisy Jones & The Six.

Published in March 2019, Taylor Jenkins Reid’s New York Times bestselling novel recounts the story of the rise and fall of a fictional ‘70s rock band, with a clever twist: It’s structured as the transcript of a fictional music documentary.

Daisy Jones & The Six has been delayed due to the pandemic, but it will be worth the wait.

There’s Someone Inside Your House

According to Netflix, “Makani Young has moved from Hawaii to quiet, small-town Nebraska to live with her grandmother and finish high school, but as the countdown to graduation begins, her classmates are stalked by a killer intent on exposing their darkest secrets to the entire town, terrorizing victims while wearing a life-like mask of their own face. With a mysterious past of her own, Makani and her friends must discover the killer’s identity before they become victims themselves”

There’s Someone Inside Your House is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2021, we’re guessing around Halloween.
