How To Create An Easy Everyday Makeup Look With essence cosmetics
Here’s how you can create an easy, summer makeup look using essence cosmetics…
Step 1
To start with an even and natural base apply the #Insta Perfect foundation, €5.60. This is a really buildable formula that gives a natural, light to medium finish. It’s also the perfect size for holidays! Leah applied a light, even layer all over her face and then went back in to build up a bit more coverage where needed.
Step 2
We wanted to keep this look really natural and glow-y, so Leah used the mosaic compact powder, €3.50, to set the foundation but also add a bit of a glow as well.
Step 3
Leah used the new semi-permanent eyebrow pen, €3.10, to add a bit more definition to her naturally dark brows. This really lasts all day and doesn’t wear off! Then Leah used the Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara, €3.10, to add a bit more fullness to her brows.
Step 4
Leah used the contour shade from the Hey Cheeks Palette, €7.50, as a transition shade and mainly focused it in her eye crease.
Next she used one of the new mono eyeshadows in “legendary“, €2.50 to darken it up a little bit. And then she applied “morning glory“, €2.50 – this is such a lovely shade. It’s highly pigmented champaign glitter that blends so well. It really makes eyes pop.
Step 5
Black eyeliner goes really well with champaign eyeshadows like morning glory – so Leah used the Drip Eyeliner, €3.10, to do a “cat eye flick”. The trick to mastering liquid eyeliner? Practice and patience. Do slow movements and take your time.
Step 6
We mentioned Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara before as one of our top budget buys (it’s a favourite with beauty gurus!), so we were super happy to hear that a new waterproof version, Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara Waterproof, €4.10, has been released just in time for summer! Curl your eyelashes and apply two coats.
Step 7
The Hey Cheeks Palette, €7.50, is great value with a selection of shades to contour and highlight with. There’s also a pink and a peach blush.
Leah used this to contour and add a bit of warmth to her skin. She then used some as a highlight and intensified the highlight with #Insta perfect liquid highlighter, €4.40. She then finished off with some peach blusher that really brightens her face and gives her a natural summer glow.
Step 8
Leah used soft contouring lipliner in “07 lost in love” and one of the new “this is me” lipsticks in the shade “05“. This is a perfect nude shade for the daytime.
And that’s it! Leah’s look is super easy to do and looks natural and glow-y. The cat eye flick adds a bit of drama and really makes her eyes stand out.
The latest essence cosmetics summer products and new ‘this is me’ collection is available now in Penneys and selected pharmacies nationwide.
