Films To Look Forward to in 2024
From action packed releases to heartwarming romances, an array of films are set to be released this year.
Here’s a list of some films to look forward to in 2024…
Challengers
Originally set to be released last year, Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers is scheduled to come out this April 26th. Starring Zendaya, Josh O’Conner and Mike Faist, this film follows the story of a former tennis player turned coach who deals with an unexpected love triangle with two of her former players.
The Fall Guy
This Action-Comedy starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt is based on the 80s hit tv-show, The Fall Guy. The film follows a stunt man who goes back to work on a film directed by his ex when the Star suddenly goes missing. This mysterious and action packed film is to be released on May 2nd.
IF
Written and directed by John Krasinki, IF follows the story of a young girl who happens to see everyone’s forgotten imaginary friends when going through a rough time. Starring Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinki and Cailey Fleming, this family drama is to be released on May 17th.
The Bikeriders
Starring Austin Butler, Jodie Comer and Tom Hardy, this film follows a midwestern motorcycle club over a decade as they fight back against authority, set in the 60s, this film shows the everyday lives of this club’s members. This film is to be released at the end of June on the 21st.
Deadpool & Wolverine
The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand with Deadpool & Wolverine coming on July 26th. This third Deadpool film brings Wolverine and Deadpool together to fight off mutual enemies with this fantastic MCU duo.
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice
Tim Burton is back with a second Beetlejuice film! Stars include familiar faces such as Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci, William Dafoe, Winona Ryder, Michael Keaton and Catherine O’Hara. Set to be released on September 6th, this sequel follows a ghost who’s recruited to help haunt a house.
Joker: Folie à Deux
Sequel to the 2019 film Joker, Todd Phillips is back with another Joker film, starring Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn and Joaquin Phoenix as Joker. This film is to be released on October 4th this year and is described to be a drama with musical elements. New additions to the cast include Brandan Gleeson and Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lawtey.
Wicked
This beloved Broadway Musical turned Film is to be released by the end of this year on November 24th. Starring Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey, this fantasy romance follows Glinda and Elphaba at Shiz University as they navigate magical powers,friendship, love and betrayal.
