How To Create A Calmer Mentality
With everything around the pandemic it can be easy to feel stressed. Although life is starting to get going again, we’re still in uncertain times. It is vital to adopt a calm mentality during this time rather than letting the pressure get to us.
Peace Plants
Peace Plants are a great way to help you adopt a calmer mentality. Nature is very soothing but what do you do when you cannot go outside because it is raining or you have too much to do? Why not bring it inside? This is the idea behind a peace plant. There is no doubt about it, greenery does a fabulous job of reducing stress. Indoor plants not only add a pop of colour to your home but will also help you feel more at ease. You can find some great options at your nearest garden centre.
Give peace plants a go. You will not be disappointed.

Exercise
Exercise is bound to make you feel instantly happier no matter what mood you are in. Going on a walk, jog or doing a workout is a great way to get moving. Not only are we looking after ourselves mentally but we are also taking care of ourselves physically which is always a big plus.
It is important to keep up the exercise even when we do not want to. It can be hard to find the motivation to keep fit especially in these current times. Getting started is the hardest part. However as soon as you do you will see your mood start to improve almost immediately.
Set Routines
Setting a routine may sound humdrum but it is actually a very useful activity to commit to. When following a routine, you become less stressed thus adopting a calmer mentality. Once you have established a routine you will feel more in control as you will know exactly what you are doing and when. Your sense of motivation will increase as you know you must complete a task before moving on to the next one.
Devising a quick plan at the start of the day is very beneficial. The more specific the better. When a task is broken down into smaller steps it instantly becomes more manageable creating that I can do it feeling within you.
Look After Yourself
Give yourself some credit. You are living through a pandemic. You are working hard. Acknowledge this. Take time for yourself. Reserve time for breaks during the day. Look after your mental health. Do not feel guilty for doing so. As humans, we criticise ourselves if we have not completed everything we had planned to that day. This does not benefit us in the slightest. Stop being so hard on yourself.
Separating your workspace and relaxing space is very healthy. This way your brain can easily distinguish between work and peace. This will help your mind switch off after a good days work.
