Things To Do On A Rainy Day
Rainy days are the worst. They are grim, dull and can put a dampener on your mood.
But fear not, we have some ideas about things you can do on a rainy day to beat boredom…
Read
There is no better chance and excuse to read than on a rainy day. Catch up on your favourite characters or finish that trilogy you have been meaning to. You will forget that it is even raining in no time as you get transported to another dimension. Books have the magical power to absorb and draw you in while you forget your worries for an hour or two. Reading will improve your mood guaranteed and will reduce any stress and anxiety you may be experiencing.

Movie night
Rainy days present the perfect opportunity to switch on the television and unwind. Why not stick on a movie you have not seen in ages or start into that series you that everyone has been talking about? Do not forget to put your feet up, sink back and push all else aside. Have a private party, bond with the family or invite a few friends over and spread the positivity. Grab some snacks or order takeaway, curl up and get watching. Relax and enjoy.
Baking
Baking is a great way to spend a rainy day. It is great fun and results in a delicious treat afterwards. Time disappears when you begin baking and leaves you with a sense of accomplishment. Create something new or follow an old family recipe. Experiment with or add a new twist to a traditional formula to produce something brand new. Alternatively, sticking to your favourites is always a good idea. Whatever you decide to bake, remember to have fun.
Organise
If you feel your kitchen needs reorganising or your bedroom requires redecoration, then there is no better time to get started than on a rainy day. This is a great idea as you will not want to go outside yet you will be able to remain productive. You will save yourself plenty of time in the future looking for things and you will thank yourself that you got it over and done with sooner rather than later. This does not have to be a fast process and you can take as much time as you would like. Why not put on some music in the background and sing along?
Stay cosy
Since you may have to stay at home all day, comfort is a priority. Why not use the weather as an excuse to stay in your pyjamas all day? Take a breather and welcome a day off. Treat yourself, you deserve it. Wrap up with a blanket and relax. Why not stay in bed and close your eyes? Remember to look after your mental health and most important of all, enjoy yourself.
