For Irish Secondary Schools
Resources your students will actually engage with.
Missy.ie has been the trusted voice for Irish teen girls since 2017. We’ve turned that trust into two school resources — one for SPHE, one for the library. Both designed with real Irish secondary school students in mind.
Who we are
The platform Irish teen girls already trust.
Missy.ie is Ireland’s only digital media platform built exclusively for teen girls aged 13–19. Since 2017 we’ve been the go-to space for Irish teens — covering everything from school and friendships to mental health, periods and growing up.
We’re not a textbook. We’re not a worksheet. We’re the voice teens already listen to — and we’ve turned that into resources that feel relevant, relatable and real to your students.
Our school resources are designed to complement what you already teach — not replace it. They work best as a supplement to your SPHE curriculum or as part of a TY reading and wellbeing programme.
School resources
Two resources. Two different conversations.
One for your SPHE classroom. One for your library or TY programme. Both built around what Irish teen girls actually need — and written in a voice they actually respond to.

Behind Missy
Built by someone who gets it.
Missy.ie was founded by Danielle Mahoney in 2017 with one goal — to create the honest, warm, big-sister resource for Irish teen girls that she wished had existed when she was growing up.
Everything Missy creates — from the Period Guide to the Reading Society — comes from real conversations with real Irish teen girls. Not focus groups. Not market research. The actual DMs, the actual questions, the actual things your students are searching for at 11pm when they don’t know who else to ask.
The school resources aren’t a pivot or a side project. They’re a natural extension of what Missy has always done — meeting Irish teen girls where they actually are and giving them something genuinely useful.
“I built the Period Guide because I kept seeing the same questions come into our DMs from girls who had nobody to ask. If we can get this into schools, that changes something real.”
