Supreme New York is a super popular brand and has been at the forefront of the “logo mania” trend that doesn’t look like it’s ending anytime soon.
The iconic streetwear brand has done numerous collaborations with different brands, their most famous collaboration to date is their collection with Louis Vuitton menswear. However, recently they decided to venture into the beauty industry with their newest collaboration with one of the biggest makeup brands, Pat McGrath. The British makeup artist has been referred to as “the most influential makeup artist in the world” by Vogue, and she launched her self titled brand in 2015 and it became a billion-dollar company by 2019.

The collaboration is on a lipstick in the iconic red Supreme colour, designed by Pat McGrath herself, and the shade is simply named “Supreme”. Everyone will love this lipstick as it’s made using her classic hyrdating matte formula. And of course it’s packaged in her usual gold sealed packaging, with a Supreme twist. Pat announced the collab by posting a series of campaign videos that took over her whole instagram feed. The caption read “Introducing Supreme/ Pat McGrath Labs Lipstick” and included quotes by F Scott Fitzgerald and Bram Stoker.
Specifics about the collab are hard to find as Supreme are known for their elusive marketing. There is no set release date however, the lipstick will be part of the Autumn/ Winter 2020 collection. However, it is definitely going to sell out super fast, judging by their last collaboration with fashion icon Jean Paul Gaultier last year which sold out in minutes. It’s super cool to see streetwear brands collaborating on such different projects, rather than the usual shoes or clothing collections. It’s opening a whole new side of the industry and it’s super exciting to see!
