Season 2 of ‘Never Have I Ever’ Is Coming Next Month!
Never Have I Ever was the surprise hit of 2020. Just when people wondered if Netflix needed another teen show, bam they hit it out of the park with a really great coming-of-age show filled with a lot of heart and a great soundtrack.
The show, created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, centers on Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), an Indian American teenager growing up in southern California, and is loosely based on some of Kaling’s own upbringing.
Devi is a layered and complex character who is dealing with her grief over the death of her father, figuring out how her Indian culture fits into her life, and going through all the things that come with being a teenager, like sex and friendships and fighting with the authority figures in your life.
As soon as we finished watching Never Have I Ever we knew we need a season 2 in our lives.

We weren’t the only ones who loved Never Have I Ever and Netflix moved quickly to annouce that a season 2 was definitly happening back in July 2020. Yay!
Season 2 of Never Have I Ever finally has a release date…
Just like a lot of other TV shows and movies, COVID-19 delayed the production of season 2 of Never Have I Ever. Star of the show, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan spoke to Elle about COVID related delays:
Honestly, I’m in the same boat as the fans. I don’t know what’s going to happen at all. I just know for me and of course the rest of the cast and the crew of Never Have I Ever, we all want to make sure that when we do start filming again for season 2, we’re doing it safely and responsibly rather than just rushing into it. We obviously want to make the best product that we can for season 2. But we also want to make sure that our actual crew and cast are all safe.
However, Netflix took to Instagram to reveal that season 2 of Never Have I Ever will be released on the 15th of July 2021!
We are SO excited for season 2 of Never Have I Ever!
