Hamilton Cast: Where You Know Them From
If you’ve watched Hamilton on Disney+, then you may have recognised a few similar faces. Here is where you know the Hamilton cast from.
Lin Manuel Miranda, Alexander Hamilton (and the creator of the show)
Not only did he star in the show, but he also wrote and directed it. But you may have recognised him from the 2018’s Mary Poppins Returns where he played Jack the chimney sweep. He also wrote the musical version of Bring It On, and the musical In Heights (which has been made into a movie which will release sometime this year).
Jonathan Groff, King George III
You may recognise Jonathan as Jesse St James in Glee, but you also recognise his voice as Kristoff in Frozen. This mega-talented guy has also appeared in numerous other Broadway shows such as the Tony nominated Spring Awakening, and also appeared in the Netflix show Mindhunder.
Daveed Diggs, Marquis De Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson
Daveed was definitely a standout in Hamilton and even won a Tony for his performance, but he’s had multiple other recognisable roles. He’s appeared in TV shows such as Black-ish, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Sesame Street. He also appeared in the 2017 adaptation of the book Wonder, starring Julia Roberts, and voiced the character Dos in Ferdinand. He’s set to voice the character, Sebastian, in the upcoming live-action version of The Little Mermaid.
Leslie Odom Jr, Aaron Burr
Leslie has appeared in a number of shows, such as Gilmore Girls, Greys Anatomy, and The Good Wife. But his most well-known role is probably his role as Dr Arbuthnot in the 2017 version of Murder On The Orient Express.
Anthony Ramos, John Laurens and Philip Hamilton
Anthony is probably most well known as Ramon from A Star Is Born, but he also starred in Spike Lees Netflix series, She’s Gotta Have It. He has also been cast as Usnavi in the upcoming big-screen adaption of Lin Manuel Mirandas In The Heights.
Fun Fact: He’s actually engaged to Jasmine Cephas Jones who played Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds.
Okieriete Onaodowan, Hercules Mulligan and James Maddison
Besides his role in Hamilton, Okieriete is probably best known for his role as Dean Miller in the Greys Anatomy spin-off Station 19.
