Lewis Capaldi Launches New Initiative To Help Concert-goers With Anxiety
Just when we thought we couldn’t fall more in love with Lewis Capaldi he goes and launches an amazing new initiative to help concert-goers with anxiety.
Taking to his Instagram Lewis announced ‘LIVELIVE’ – an initiative that offers support during – as well as before and after – his concerts for those suffering from anxiety disorders.
First night of LIVELIVE tonight! Helping any of ya who struggle with any anxiety or mental health at gigs x
The initiative is in association with Music and You and Interlude Artists, and also offers a safe space and designated help points for anyone struggling emotionally.
Lewis’ new ‘gig buddy’ scheme allows gig-goers, especially those attending his shows on their own, to meet others at designated points. Fans can connect at these points before doors open, during or after the show, and arrange to both watch the show and travel home safely together. There’s a LIVELIVE Zone within each venue, clearly signposted, with a help desk for anyone who feels that they need it. The zone is manned by a qualified team on each of his UK tour dates.
Lewis previously spoke out about dealing with his own anxiety issues. He revealed that he suffers from panic attacks himself. He said: “I always get tonnes of messages from people online who have said they want to come to my shows but can’t because they’re struggling massively with anxiety or are just generally afraid they will have a panic attack during the show.”
also so so buzzing to announce something i’ve been working on for a while… LIVELIVE

This is honestly such a great idea, as so many people suffer from anxiety and claustrophobia in crowds. Hopefully more artists follow suit with similar initiatives.
Lewis is set to take to the stage at Dublin’s 3 Arena later this week as part of his arena tour.
