Everything We Know About Taylor Swift’s New Album The Life of A Showgirl
Swifties, the next era has arrived. Taylor Swift has officially announced her 12th studio album, and from the little we’ve seen so far, The Life of A Showgirl is shaping up to be glittery, glamorous, and full of secrets.
Here’s everything we know so far… (which to be fair, is very little. But that won’t stop us!!)
TL;DR: Taylor Swift’s 12th album The Life of A Showgirl is coming – orange glitter vinyl, Max Martin/Shellback rumours, a possible Sabrina collab, and plenty of Easter eggs… but no release date, tour, or artwork yet.
The Big Reveal
After sending the internet in to overdrive yesterday (hello, orange Eras Tour outfits), Taylor confirmed TS12 is real! And it’s called The Life of A Showgirl. The title is giving feathers, sequins, spotlights, and possibly some of her most theatrical storytelling yet.
Vinyl First Look (Sort Of)
The first vinyl to go up for preorder is the Portofino Orange Glitter Vinyl – a translucent orange record with gold glitter. The listing says:
- Ships before October 13, 2025 (not the release date)
- Limited to 4 per customer
- Album artwork and vinyl detailing will be revealed later
- Each vinyl may vary slightly in colour due to the custom manufacturing process
And before you rush to hit checkout – unless you’re desperate to secure this colourway, it might be worth waiting to see what other variants Taylor has up her sparkly sleeve. (Midnights collectors know this game all too well.) This also seems to be the standard vinyl, meaning it will also be availbe to purchase on the release date in Irish stores. So, hold your horses for now.
It’s also worth noting that so far there has been no indication that pre-ordering will give you access to tour tickets (if a tour is announced) So chill for now!

A Matter of Easter Eggs
Fans have spotted a big clue pointing to who’s behind the boards for this album. Taylor recently posted a playlist of every song she’s made with Max Martin and Shellback – and the rumours are flying that they’re producing The Life of A Showgirl. But as we know, rumours are terrible and cruel! If true, we could be in for a pop masterpiece. Think 1989 meets 90’s pop bangers!
Music Video Whispers
Multiple sources claim Taylor recently filmed a music video in LA. Could this be the lead single? Will it drop before the podcast interview? The suspense is real.
The Travis Kelce Connection
Taylor will appear on Travis Kelce’s New Heights (you all know who he is!!) podcast tomorrow. No one knows how much she’ll share, but it looks like it will be our first look at the album artwork.

The Life of A Showgirl is available to preorder now – but if you’re a vinyl collector, you may want to hold off and see what other editions are coming. The era is just beginning, and Taylor always has more to reveal.
