Netflix was very good to us in 2018. Not only did they release To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, they also blessed us with The Kissing Booth!
Well, 2020 is the year that Netflix brings us sequels! We’ve already had To All The Boys: P.S I Still Love You and now we’re getting The Kissing Booth 2 – yay!
Here’s everything that you need to know…
What’s it going to be about?
The second movie is based on the second book, The Kissing Booth 2: Going To Distance, which we’ve already chatted about – it’s already out, in case you didn’t know!
At the end of the first movie we saw Elle and Noah say goodbye as he headed off to start college, but now they have to navigate life as a long-distance couple. AND there’s a new guy on the scene who’s very interested in Elle…
The cast is returning…
The original cast of The Kissing Booth has signed on for the second movie, thank God!
Joey King will be back as Elle Evans beside Joel Courtney plays the role of Lee Flynn, Noah’s younger brother, and Elle’s best friend. Jacob Elordi will play the role of Noah Flynn and Molly Ringwald will be back for more views as Lee and Noah’s mother.
We’re kinda wondering how awkward it was between Joey King and Jacob Elordi though…the two dated during production of the first movie and then broke up. Jacob is now reportedly dating his Euphoria co-star Zendaya.
There Are 2 New Characters
The Kissing Booth 2 will introduce us to 2 new characters. Marco, who catches Elle’s eye with his creativity and signing abilities, and Chloe; an intelligent Harvard student who soon becomes close to Noah.
Will either of these characters break up Elle and Noah’s relationship?
When is The Kissing Booth 2 release date?
Exciting news! The Kissing Booth 2 will be released on Netflix the 24th July 2020.
