TV Shows We Can’t Wait To Watch In 2022

Team Missy

At this point, who really knows what 2022 is going to bring.

But, one thing we can be sure of is some really good TV shows are coming our way in 2022.

From returning favourites to book adaptions, here’s what we’re all going to be obsessively watching in 2022…

Bridgerton – Season 2

Is it March 25 yet, because we think we might combust waiting for Bridgerton season 2!

Bridgerton will definitely be one of the highlights of 2022 TV shows. Season 2 will shift the focus to Anthony, Daphne’s older brother in his search for love. Simone Ashley from Sex Education has been added to the cast as Anthony’s love interest and the hype is already real.

Seriously, is it March 25 yet?

Derry Girls – The Final Season

Yes, season 3 will be the last of the Derry Girls (sob!) but we just know it’s going to go out with a bang (and be absolutely hilarious)

Conversations With Friends

After the success of Normal People in 2020 it was only a matter of time before Sally Rooney’s first novel, Conversations With Friends, was adapted too. And here we are!

We’re very interested to see what they do with this series, the book wasn’t as endearing as Normal People, but with an interesting cast and the same creative team back, we think they could very well end up doing a better series than the actual book, which doesn’t often happen.

The Summer I Turned Pretty

The Summer I Turned Pretty is ” a multigenerational drama that hinges on a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the ever-evolving relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer.”

It’s based on the trilogy of books by To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before author Jenny Han, so basically we are living for this series.

No word yet on a release date but it is expected some time in 2022.

Daisy Jones And The 6

There’s no official work yet on when the release date of this is, but it’s currently filming in LA, so we are crossing our fingers for a 2022 release.

Based on the best-selling novel Daisy Jones And The Six tells the fictional story of a 1970’s rock band.

Advice: read the book in the meantime if you haven’t already read it!

The Crown – Season 5

Yes, we have to wait until November for this one, but it’s going to be worth the wait. The 5th season of the popular Netflix show will see them chronicle the Royal Family during the 1990’s. The breakdown of Charles and Diana’s marriage as well as her death in 1997 will be a huge focus. Expect there to be a lot of drama with the Royals this year as they are reportedly not very happy with all of this being re-lived.

The Wilds – Season 2

We have so many questions after finishing up season 1 of The Wilds. We won’t spoil it for those of you who haven’t watched it yet, but get on it ASAP because season 2 is going to be good!!

Which TV shows are you looking forward to in 2022?
