WANNA WORK AT MISSY.IE? WE’RE LOOKING FOR A Social Media Intern

Do you love social media and everything digital? We’re seeking a Social Media Intern to work across our social media platforms. But in particular on our IG and TikTok.

We’re looking for someone to help create high-quality and engaging content for teens in a variety of areas such as beauty, fashion, TV, movies, books, health and relationships.

The successful applicant will have one-to-one mentoring with the missy.ie team to help broaden their skill set, improve existing talents and build their portfolio over the period of a three-month internship.

The ideal candidate has a strong interest in pop culture, beauty and teen topics. The person also needs to be a confident in front of the camera, can pitch their own ideas and work independently to set deadlines.

This is a great opportunity (if we do say so ourselves) get get hands-on experience in digital media and build up a portfolio of work. The position is based remotely, so you can be based anywhere in Ireland. It’s for 3 months and requires 5 – 10 hours work per week. We offer training, mentoring, flexible hours and a portfolio upon completion of the internship.

Responsibilities

1. Content Creation: Develop engaging and visually appealing content for Missy.ie’s social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok and others.
2. Social Media Management: Assist in the day-to-day management of social media accounts, ensuring timely and consistent posting across platforms.
3. Community Engagement: Foster a sense of community by actively engaging with our audience through comments, direct messages, and other interactions.
4. Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with social media trends and emerging platforms, providing insights and recommendations for Missy.ie’s social media strategy.
5. Collaborations: Support in the coordination and execution of social media collaborations with partners.
6. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyse social media performance metrics, providing regular reports to the team with insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

• Passion for women’s empowerment and creating a positive online community.
• Strong interest and knowledge in social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
• Comfortable in front of the camera and feature in the video content.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic graphic design skills and proficiency in tools like Canva or Adobe Spark.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to learn.
