Beauty School Prep

Team Missy

It’s the start of school and you want to look and feel fab. New start, new you. This is a great to perk up before school, a holiday, an event or if you just feel like a bit of TLC.

Start off with a body brush before you get in the shower in circular motions. You can pick this up in Penneys or a local Chemist. You should try incorporating it into your normal daily routine. Body brushing helps shed dead skin cells which gives you smoother and brighter skin. It can also help with any pesky ingrown hairs and improves vascular blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. Now you can chose a nice bubble bath, or a long shower. We adore Zoella Soak Opera to get movie like bubbles. While you’re in there throw in some conditioner to give your hair some TLC. We love Sachajuan Hair Repair as a treat, but your normal condition will work just fine. Hop out the shower and leave the conditioner in and warp your hair in a towel to let it really soak in.

Next up is your at home facial. Start off with an oil based cleanser to break down any makeup that might still be on the skin. Our favourites are Superfacialist Rose Miracle Makeover Facial Oil and Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. Next exfoliate using a light scrub such as St. Ives Blemish Fighting Apricot Scrub. Use some warm water to gently wash that off, warm water will also help open up your pores.  Now it’s time to cleanse out pesky pores. The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask is incredible for helping any spots or blemishes and leaves the skin feeling and looking so lovely and clean.

If hair removal is your thing time to get your razor out. We just don’t think you can beat the Classic Gillette Venus Razor. If you’ve followed all our steps you’re well ahead because it’s best to shave after exfoliating for best results, you really do get the closest shave that way. If you’re looking for a long-lasting hair removal invest in a epilator such as Braun Silk-epil 3 Women’s Corded Electric Epilator. It works a bit like a electric tweezers pulling the hairs out from the roots. Speaking of tweezing break yours out and do whatever needs to be done. If you’re looking to invest in a tweezers we couldn’t love our Tweezerman more.

If you’re not allowed to wear makeup at school think about tinting your eyebrows. You can get this done at your local salon along with tinting your eyelashes which can make it look like you’re wearing mascara when you’re not. Or you can buy one of the home kits such as Eylure Dybrow Kit.

Once you’re all plucked and washed down slather on some body moisturiser, Palmers Coconut Body Oil is the bomb.com.
