The Christmas holidays are the perfect time to chill out, live in your pyjamas for a bit and eat all the yummy food you please all while watching your favourite movies!

Here are some throwback movies that you may have forgotten about but are perfect easy watches while you are chillin’ out over the Christmas holidays.

Pretty Woman

Rom coms are the perfect choice for lazy days over Christmas. Pretty Woman is the  all time romantic comedy starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. Fall in love with Vivian, an escort who falls in love with a rich lawyer.

P.S. I Love You

Holly Kennedy discovers that her late husband has been leaving messages for her in an attempt to make her grieving process that little bit easier. On a trip to Ireland she meets William who reminds her a lot of her deceased husband. A story of love and finding a passion for life again.

The Vow

A similar story to P.S. I Love You. After Paige loses her memory after a car accident, her husband Leo makes it his mission to rekindle their relationship and have them fall in love again. Tissues are a good idea for this one!

Step Brothers

This one is sure to have you laughing! Two grown men, Brennan and Dale are forced to live together after their when each of their parents marry each other and they become step-brothers. They grow from hating to loving each other.

Happy Gilmore

Starring Adam Sandler who plays an unsuccessful ice hockey player who finds out he is actually very talented at golf.

13 Going On 30

Jennifer Gardner plays Jenna Rink, a 13 year old girl whose birthday wish is to be a mature, successful 30 year old. When it comes true and  she wakes up at 30 she is completely confused by the world around her.

The perfect family comedy film! When Tom Baker’s goes on a book tour, Tom has to try and handle a household of 12 children as well as a new job. It’s chaos but so enjoyable to watch! And if you love the first one the second one a watch.

Patch Adams

Tissues may also be needed for this one! Based on a true story, Robbin Williams stars as Hunter Doherty “Patch” Adams, an American physician, comedian, social activist, clown, and author. Patches mission is to change children’s time in hospital by adding fun and humour and making it less of a mundane, scary experience for them. It’s definitely a movie that will pull at your heart strings.

A Series of Unfortunate Events

The Baudelaire children become orphans after they lose their parents in a tragic fire. They go from guardian to guardian all who mysteriously die until they end up with the evil count Olaf. Everything seems a bit fishy and they begin looking in to how the fire actually came about in the first place.

Mr. Popper’s Penguins

Popper’s father was an explorer, when he dies he leaves a penguin, who is named Captain for Popper and his family. Popper initially despises the penguin. After giving the penguin away to the zoo and realising it is a mistake, himself and his family make it their mission to get  Captain back.
