The long awaited TV show Shadow and Bone is finally landing on Netflix 23 April.

Here’s everything you need to know about Shadow and Bone…
What’s Shadow And Bone about?
Based on Leigh Bardugo’s worldwide bestselling Grishaverse novels, Shadow and Bone finds us in a war-torn world where lowly soldier and orphan Alina Starkov has just unleashed an extraordinary power that could be the key to setting her country free.
With the monstrous threat of the Shadow Fold looming, Alina is torn from everything she knows to train as part of an elite army of magical soldiers known as Grisha. But as she struggles to hone her power, she finds that allies and enemies can be one and the same and that nothing in this lavish world is what it seems.
There are dangerous forces at play, including a crew of charismatic criminals, and it will take more than magic to survive.

It’s Based On A Book Series
Like a lot of TV shows on Netflix, Shadow and Bone is based off of a super popular book series. The series brings together the stories and characters of both Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows, two overlapping series that take place in Bardugo’s Grishaverse.
Who Stars In Shadow And Bone?
Most of the young cast are relative un-knowns, but expect them to be big names as a result of Shadow and Bone.
The most well-know name amongst the cast is probably Ben Barnes. You might know him as Prince Caspian from The Chronicles of Narnia, Stardust and the very underrated Irish movie, Killing Bono.
Irish actress Danielle Galligan also has a recurring role in the series.
