Confidence Myths Busted

Confident people are confident all the time..

False!

Nobody is 100% confident all the time. Everyone has moments of weakness, even the most confident people you know! Even though someone may come across really confident you never know what is going on in their head or how they are really feeling.

In order to be confident you have to be born with it…

False!

Anyone can learn to be confident! Some people are naturally more confident than others but that does not mean that you can’t be like them! The best way to become more confident is fake it till you make it, eventually your confidence will grow!

Stepping out of your comfort zone improves your confidence…

True!

Confidence comes with experience! The more you do things that scare you the more confident you will become. Speaking up more, talking to new people, these are all great ways to grow your confidence.

Confident people love attention…

False!

Confidence and being attention seeking do not go hand in hand. A lot of confident people don’t like attention. Being confident simply means you are sure of yourself and what you stand for.

Being confident will make you feel good…

True!

Confidence makes you feel good because it enables you to stay true to yourself and do what makes you feel good, and that’s always a good thing!
