Spring has sprung…apparently. It’s definitely still cold, but there’s no denying that it’s time to pack away the winter coats and start dipping your toes in Spring fashion.
Here are the 4 Spring fashion essentials that you need in your wardrobe…
Black Denim Jacket
You can never go wrong with a trusty denim jacket. We love a good black denim jacket because it just goes with EVERYTHING. Size-up, or even hit up the mens department to get one that will allow you to layer a hoodie under it during the chillier moment of spring. Our top pick is this Topshop Womens Oversized Denim Jacket.
Wear it with mom jeans or throw it on over a dress for the perfect day or night look. This is worth investing in now because not only will it see you through the next 6 months at least, it’s a piece you will have in your wardrobe for years to come.
Floral Midi Skirt
If there’s one thing that you’re going to see everywhere over the next few months it’s the midi skirt. Bonus points for a floral midi skirt. Wear it with Docs, Converse, ankle boots or Vans and then sandals come summer. For something that will cost you under €30 it’s a solid investment. We love this New Look ditsy floral midi skirt
Green With Envy
We’re calling it now; sage green is officially the colour when it comes to spring fashion. We don’t know what it is about the colour, but there’s something really calming and cheerful about it, making it perfect for spring. We are obsessed with this Green spot skort playsuit – so cute and perfect for the day with sandals during the summer or dress it up with heels.
I’m With The Band
Another versatile addition to spring fashion is the band t-shirt. Perfect for throwing on with jeans or with your floral midi skirt. The only difficulty is trying to pick one. Prince T-Shirts are super popular. Take your pick because Nasty Gal, Missguided AND Boohoo all have a Prince Purple Rain T-Shirt. Personally, we kinda want to be South Side Serpents like Betty Cooper!

We at Missy are fond of a Winter Coat. But why settle for a boring coat when you can have a statement coat? Let’s be honest, coats are a big part of fashion in Ireland, as the chilly weather lasts for a good 6 months, a coat is all we see of an outfit for half the year! This is why a statement winter coat is a wardrobe staple! We’ve put together some of our favourite statement coats, check them out below!
1) Leopard Print
Leopard print is a big statement whether it’s worn as a skirt, a jumper, or a coat! You’ve probably seen them in most shops this year, and it looks like the trend is here to stay for a while so why not invest? We love these faux fur options below, especially the collared coat from Topshop. Nastgal’s option is also fab, but we think Boohoo have won with their cute take on the trend!
2) Faux Fur
So technically, our leopard print options above are faux fur, but how cute are these faux fur bomber style jackets?! Make a statement with Winter colours like this Boohoo blue coat, or this dark green Nastygal jacket! Go more muted with this Topshop baby pink faux fur coat – perfect to transition into Spring!
3) Red Coats
Netflix’s Sabrina has definitely caused a rise in the red statement coat trend, and we’re happy to embrace it! If you’re after Sabrina’s look, this Topshop coat is almost identical to hers. In the line for something a bit more practical for the Winter months? This Boohoo coat is perfect to keep you warm! Not a fan of full on red? Make a statement with an edge with this New Look check coat!
What do you think of our picks? Will you be investing in any this Winter?

At Missy we think Toni Topaz is an unsung hero in Riverdale – sassy, tough, and takes no prisoners, she’s pretty bad ass. Not only is her personality pretty awesome so is her style!
The gals of Riverdale may not have the most wearable wardrobe for A/W, but Toni Topaz’s is pretty great for this season. We’ve put together some of our fav looks of hers for you to recreate!
Toni Topaz is all about the plaid! We love this Nasty Gal plaid shirt paired with ripped jeans and a band tee! If you’re more into dresses this super cute Nasty Gal number is perfect for layering this A/W!
Are you even Toni Topaz if you don’t have a leather jacket? Pair with these fab New Look tartan pants and biker boots for a very Toni look! We really love these studded boots from Boohoo, they give an edgy look worthy of any South Side Serpent!
When she’s not rocking her leather jacket, Toni is repping a denim jacket! Toni is a fan of a roll neck, like this red leopard print one from New Look. Add that edginess Toni encapsulates with this faux leather skirt! The perfect accessory for Toni? A bandana of course!
What do you think of Toni’s look? Will you be stealing her style this A/W Season?

It can be hard to know exactly what to wear during Autumn/Winter in Ireland. Sometimes it’s freezing, sometimes it’s warm, and most of the time the day starts out chilly only to hit afternoon and be boiling!!
We here at Missy have found the answer to dressing for this A/W season, layering.
Layering allows you to keep warm whilst also looking great. You can then strip off any excess layers should the day get warmer. We’ve put together some looks to inspire your layering!
First, this faux fur bomber jacket deserves a special shoutout. How amazing is it? It’s so versatile for A/W!
Back to the full look… this forest green pinafore is very on trend this season. We’ve paired it with a long sleeve white tee, and the amazing bomber for a very fall inspired look that’ll keep you nice and toasty!
Take a summer-y dress like this snake skin Topshop one and pop a black long sleeve tee underneath. Voilà, a perfect winter outfit! We paired it with a faux leather jacket for an extra layer, and these fab Public Desire boots!
We loved the Public Desire boots and faux leather jacket so much we had to pop them into this layered look!
Leopard print isn’t going anywhere this season, so why not add it to the layering trend with this jumper? Corduroy is also very “in” this AW. We layered this corduroy burgundy shirt underneath for a bit of texture. Pop on a pair of frayed jeans to complete the look!
What do you think of the layering trend? Will you be wearing it this Autumn/Winter season?
Now that summer’s over its time to start thinking about your autumn/winter wardrobe. Just give us all of the coats, hats and scarves, please and thank you!
We’re very conscious of the fact that not everyone has the money to go out and buy a brand new wardrobe (us included!). The thing about fashion is that things don’t really change that much, so chances are you have a lot of this in your wardrobe already. And as always, Penneys cover all the trends going. So, consider this more of an autumn/winter inspo list with our top picks thrown into the mix.
Teddy coats are everywhere again this year, which is great news if you invested in one last year. Penneys have a great one floating around at the moment for €35, but you know yourself that you need to be quick when it comes to those sort of things in Penneys! Vila have a fab option,
but we kind of adore this Lilac Teddy coat from Boohoo
The accessory of choice this autumn/winter is definitely a silk scarf. They’re such a great way to add a pop of colour to any outfit and you can style them in so many ways, draped over your shoulders, as a headband or tied onto a bag, we could keep going!
Take a look at some of our other picks and let us know what your favourite is…
21 Things To Have In Your A/W Wardrobe
It’s hard to believe that a few short weeks ago we were basking in the summer heat and now here we are, freezing cold. There’s no denying that autumn is well and truly here, but that means that it’s time to dig out the warm clothes.
Here are 4 Key Trends For Autumn 2018…
We really weren’t sure about white boots initially, but now we are now convinced that an outfit isn’t complete without them. Fueling our obsession is Rochelle Humes who has teamed with New Look to create her own edit of clothes. Rochelle is obviously a genuine fan because we have spotted her wearing these boots so many times. We need them right now!
Button Up Skirts
We’re pretty sure that you can’t go into any shop right now without seeing button skirts, and we’re not mad about that because we love them! They’re honestly so versatile. Black will literally go with anything, but we’re also loving this rust colour skirt which just screams autumn to us. Bonus points for corduroy skirts!
Forget sweater weather, it’s all about the cardigan this autumn/winter. The 80s vibes are real right now with the return of the bobble cardigan. I mean, we weren’t alive in the 80’s, but we’ve heard that these were all the rage then! This is the perfect way to stay cozy as the temperature drops, but we also love how they add a splash of colour to an outfit. This Misguided cardigan seems like the perfect solution to the dilemma of what to wear to keep yourself warm when you’re going “out out”.
Pinafores are still huge for autumn winter. If you invested in a denim one you’re all set. We love how you can dress them down with a pair of Vans and a long-sleeved top during the day, but dress them up with boots for an evening with the girls.
What do you think of the trends for Autumn 2018?
You might be thinking we here at Missy have gone slightly bonkers brown is back…? Was it ever really here? You’re probably too young to remember, heck we’re too young to remember! But according to the parentals, brown was big in the 70’s, and now it’s back in all it’s 2018 glory! Well, that’s according to the big time fashion editors but who are we to argue with them?
When you think about it, it’s actually a nice neutral colour that can be mixed and matched with a lot of items you probably already own. The leopard print trend that looks fit to stay for all of this A/W season, would look great paired with it.
Want to jazz up a plain jeans and a jumper look? Brown boots is where it’s at! There’s no need to go all That 70’s Show and wear it head to toe in varying shades.
We absolutely love the burnt orange colour “tobacco” – how cute is this jacket and jumper dress?
50 Shades of Brown!
Instead check out some of these versatile pieces we’ve chosen to add to your Autumn/Winter Wardrobe!
